What is the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program - Aptech Visa

Canada PNP program was specifically designed for skilled workers who not just wanted to immigrate to Canada but also wanted to settle in a Canadian Province as a Canada PR with the requirement that they had the education, skills, and experience for the designated occupation that will contribute to the economy of that particular province or territory.

In 1998, Manitoba became the first province to adopt the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). It is crucial for the province to market itself to talented immigrants as a desirable place to live.

Are you a skilled worker looking forward to settling permanently in Canada as a Canada Permanent Resident? Then try your luck with the Skilled Workers Stream under Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.

What is Manitoba PNP eligibility for under-skilled workers overseas?

  • Must have a relative or connection in Manitoba
  • May prove to the MPNP that you are between the ages of 21 and 45,
  • All MPNP applicants must meet employability and adaptability standards, as well as not have a greater connection to another province.
  • You must complete at least one year of postsecondary education or training for which you have earned a diploma, degree, or certificate as well as two years of full-time employment within the last five years. In the case of regulated occupations, you must be able to demonstrate your ability to find employment in Manitoba (including plans to obtain a license or certification).
  • Possess the ability and desire to establish oneself financially and permanently in Manitoba, as evidenced, at least in part, by a Settlement Plan submitted to the MPNP

Assessment of Points

If you have submitted your profile in Express Entry Pool as well as applied for MPNP then getting an invitation will increase your CRS points by 600 definitely increasing your chances of getting Canada PR.

Each applicant seeking consideration under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream must score at least 60 points based on five criteria in addition to proving a strong connection to Manitoba in order to be eligible. Regardless of your points amount, you are not eligible for this stream if you have no link to Manitoba.

How does the Manitoba PNP work?

Here is how the Manitoba PNP process works:

  • Creating an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile is the first step.
  • For the most qualified candidates with a Manitoba connection, a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) allowing them to submit an MPNP application will be issued.
  • Applicants are meticulously evaluated by MPNP officers.
  • Qualified candidates are recommended by the MPNP.

Within 180 days of the date of nomination, apply for a permanent residence visa for yourself and your family with the Government of Canada.

Immigrate to Canada through MPNP in 2023 - Aptech Visa

One of the most popular Canadian PNP Programs is the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In 1998, a Canadian immigration scheme was established. According to their economic and labour market demands, the initiative was started to aid in the province's economic growth through immigration. 418 new immigrants were accepted by the Manitoba PNP in its first year. At present, the province nominates more than 5,000 new immigrants annually under the program.

With the MPNP, Manitoba has had great success. In fact, Manitoba's GDP would be up to 30% lower without it.

Newcomers enjoy moving to Manitoba as well. If you want to immigrate through the MPNP, having friends or family in Manitoba is helpful. Additionally, in the first year after being nominated, approximately 90% of provincial nominees find employment. Nearly 90% of residents prefer to remain in the province, which has a high retention rate.

The province's immigration streams are divided into base streams and enhanced streams.

Enhancement denotes alignment with the Express Entry system for the stream. Through the nation's three primary economic class immigration programs, the federal government manages petitions for Canada PR using this method.

Based on the Comprehensive Ranking System, the Express Entry system assigns an applicant a CRS Score. The top contenders are given the opportunity to submit an application for Canada permanent residence.

Obtaining a nomination from a province with an improved program earns you an additional 600 CRS points, all but ensuring you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. They are also nominated via their Express Entry profile.

Base streams are ones that don't match the Express Entry systems. Candidates who are nominated by their province must submit a direct application to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Manitoba Immigration Streams:

You have five alternatives to select from if you want to immigrate to Manitoba:

  • Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream:
  • Skilled Worker Overseas Stream;
  • Manitoba Business Investor Stream;
  • International Education Stream;
  • Morden Community Driven Initiative.

For qualified temporary foreign employees and international graduates who are already working in Manitoba and have been given the opportunity to accept a permanent, full-time position with a Manitoba business, there is a stream called "Skilled Worker in Manitoba."

Qualified skilled workers who may be abroad but can show a strong connection to the province are eligible for the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream. Another candidate for this category may be a skilled worker who is already a resident of Canada.

In order to establish a firm in Manitoba, applicants must use the Manitoba Business Investor Stream.

Graduates from post-secondary institutions outside of Manitoba who want to live there permanently can apply through the international education stream.

The Morden Community Driven Initiative is for tradespeople who want to settle in the small town of Morden, such as welders, carpenters, cooks, plumbers, and pipefitters.

Skilled Worker Overseas Stream

There are 2 streams under this:

Manitoba Express Entry Pathway

This route is for those who are qualified under another MPNP stream and have an active Express Entry profile. Along with having a strong connection to Manitoba, these individuals must have experience in one of the professions on Manitoba's in-demand occupations list.

Human Capital Pathway

For foreign skilled employees having work experience in a profession on the list of Manitoba's In-Demand Occupations, use this pathway.

Important things to consider

1. Skilled workers' expressions of interest Foreign applicants have only been taken into account if they meet the following criteria: received a direct invitation from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative or possess a current Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

2. If you haven't received a Letter of Advice to Apply despite having a score higher than the applicant with the lowest ranking, there are a few possible explanations.

As you indicated in your EOI, you took an approved third-party language test to demonstrate your proficiency in English or French, but you failed to include a valid Test Number or the test has expired;

You indicated that you were invited to apply to the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, but you failed to include a valid Invitation Number.

Observe that there is help text accessible for every question in the EOI, offering thorough instructions on the data you must provide. You may want to amend your EOI with the relevant information if one of these situations applies to you to be considered for the upcoming draw from the EOI pool.

3. Candidates who stated they are employed in a regulated profession and have a valid Manitoba work permit were chosen in this draw. The MPNP reserves the right, however, to not accept or reject complete applications from candidates who are not genuinely employed in a regulated occupation and/or who do not present documentation proving they have completed all stages required for Manitoba employment licensure. If this applies to you, you might consider turning down your letter of recommendation to use.

International Education Stream

The International Education Stream (IES) for graduates of Manitoba is committed to offering international students graduating in Manitoba and addressing the demands of business with quicker nomination processes.

Three routes are available:

  • Career Employment Pathway
  • Graduate Internship Pathway
  • International Student Entrepreneur Pilot (ISEP)

Eligibility - Skilled Workers in Manitoba

A Manitoba business must have employed you full-time as a temporary foreign worker or international student working graduate for at least six consecutive months (consecutively) for which you have a valid work visa.

You might be eligible to apply for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program as a temporary foreign worker if you are successful in obtaining a temporary work permit from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program's Skilled Workers in Manitoba track is not evaluated based on points, in contrast to the other linkages to Manitoba in the program.

Eligibility - Skilled Workers Overseas

All applicants to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) applying to the Skilled Workers Overseas pathway must show they have a strong connection to Manitoba, either through the support of family or friends, through primary education or employment in the province, or through an Invitation to Apply they received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

How to Apply

The paths under the International Education Stream and the Skilled Workers Stream both follow this procedure:

  • Creating an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile.
  • Those suitable applicants who have a connection to Manitoba and receive the highest scores will be given a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA), which permits them to submit an MPNP application.
  • Applications are meticulously evaluated by an MPNP officer.
  • The MPNP proposes successful candidates.
  • Submit a separate application for visas to Canada's government within 180 days of the date of nomination for you and your family members.

Immigration initiatives in Manitoba

The MPNP manages Manitoba's immigration programs and assists with immigration applications to the federal government. Although Canadian regions cannot grant exceptionally long-term resident status, they can expedite an application by assigning routine tasks.

To be nominated by Manitoba, you must submit an Expression of Interest to the MPNP. You can next use the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Abroad programs to apply for an LAA.

Then, based on their connections to the region and many aspects of their human resources, Manitoba assigns competitors a score out of 1,000.

Using the streams for Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas, the province can discover persons who match the demands of its labour market.

Candidates from outside Manitoba should demonstrate ties to the area, such as close family ties, prior employment experience there, or a letter from one of Manitoba's crucial enrolment initiatives. You don't have to live in Manitoba at the time of application to be eligible.

You cannot apply under the category of Skilled Workers in Manitoba unless you have a full-time job offer from a provincial company.

International graduates who complete their examinations in Manitoba might be welcomed under the Global Schooling Stream in the event that they can demonstrate that they have abilities that are popular.

Utilize the Manitoba PNP Points Calculator to determine your Express Entry score.

The Canadian permanent residency application management system known as Express Entry is used for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.

You can skip the PNP process and get an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residency by completing an Express Entry application.

Having a provincial nomination does, however, all but guarantee that Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada will urge you to apply for Canadian permanent residence given the 600-point incentive.

When you submit your profile, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which considers factors including your age, work experience, education, and language proficiency among others, assigns you a ranking.

The top-scoring candidates receive invitations to submit applications for permanent residence through routine Express Entry draws.

You must first submit a profile to the Express Entry pool in order to ask Manitoba to nominate you for a provincial position.
