Canada follows a point-based immigration system to invite skilled and qualified workers through skill migration programs. Express Entry System is the most popular visa and immigration program allowing migrants to settle in the country on a permanent basis.

Express Entry was introduced in 2015 inviting migrants through The Federal Skilled Worker Program, The Federal Skilled Trade Program, and The Canadian Experience Class.

Out of all the most popular is the Federal Skilled Worker Program that allows skilled and qualified workers to come and settle in Canada permanently.

This is generally a two-stage process wherein first stage your points are calculated under the Federal Skilled Worker Program. You are required to take educational credential assessment test, language assessment test and after scoring positive result for the outcome, create an express entry profile online and mention key credentials like age, educational qualification, work experience, language ability, and adaptability factors. A minimum of 67 points out of 100 on Canada Point Assessment grid is required for the above-mentioned factors to become eligible for Canada PR.

In this stage, it is checked whether you are eligible to apply for Canada PR or not. The 67 points are divided:

• ·         Education (25 points)
• ·         Work Experience (15 points)
• ·         Language ability (28 points)
• ·         Adaptability (10 points)
• ·         Arranged Employment (10 points)

After getting the required scores, the eligible applicant will be then placed into the second stage and that is Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The applicants are given a score out of 1200 under various factors. The highest CRS ranking applicant is invited to apply through the regular CIC draws conducted by the Canadian government.

As per the recent CIC draws, the applicants with CRS 457 and above were given ITAs to apply for permanent residency of Canada. So, in order to get Canada PR, you must score at least CRS 400 and above to receive permanent residency.

Thus, the score must be good and competent to get an invitation letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).IRCC announces the cut off CRS score for every Canada Express Entry draw. The higher the CRS score the better is the immigration chances of Canada.
