What is Provincial Nominee Program?
Workers who have the talent,
education, and work experience to contribute to the economy of a given province
or territory, wish to live in that province, and want to become permanent
citizens of Canada are eligible for this program.
Each province and territory has
its own "streams" of criteria. In a program stream, provinces
and territories could, for example, target the following:
·
students
·
persons in the business world
·
skilled personnel
·
workers who are semi-skilled
What is Express Entry Provincial Nominee Program?
In 2015, Canada launched Express
Entry as a method for managing permanent residency applications. Since then, a
number of Canadian provinces and territory have developed 'enhanced' PNP
streams that are Express Entry compatible. In order to meet the PNP eligibility
standards, certain PNPs require that an applicant have an Express Entry
profile. Alternatively, if an applicant receives a nomination through a PNP
that is not associated with Express Entry, they must apply for permanent residency as a provincial nominee using a paper-based
federal application. This can take a lengthy time to process compared to
electronic Express Entry
applications.
Some of the most popular PNP streams amongst the Indian Immigrant are:
