Australia’s Skilled Occupation List likely to change soon!

Australia’s skilled occupation lists are most likely to change soon with number of occupations removing and some moving between different lists.
The occupational demand list of Australia is under review and the changes are likely to come anytime soon. There are number of occupations in the pipeline that are going to be removed and some occupations will be moving between different lists.
Australia’s Skilled Occupation List

Australia has three lists currently- Medium and Long Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), Short-Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) and Regional Occupation List (ROL).
The applicants planning to migrate to Australia as a skilled worker are required to nominate an occupation from any one of these lists, on the basis of the type of visa they seek, in their visa application.
The Australia skilled occupation lists are reviewed by The Department of Jobs and Small Business to determine Australia’s skilled workforce needs, carried out a review of these lists during the month of the June. Based on the analysis of the data, the department of jobs and small business will advise the Department of Home Affairs to implement the changes in the Australia occupational list.
The department is currently analysing the submission and the Department of Home Affairs can implement changes anytime in this month.
