50 Million Visitor to Arrive in Australia by 2020

By 2020, Australia is likely to welcome around 50 million visitors. Going by the latest reports, Australia already had welcomed 40 million visitors in the year 2017 by air and as per the immigration and border protection team, the number of visitors passing the Australia international airport will touch 50 million by air.

This Christmas, as per the reports, over 2.3 million visitors landed in Australia. The incursion of tourists continued after Christmas holidays also, over 450,000 travelers departed and reached Australia within first week of New Year. There was an increase of seven percent as compared to the previous year.

The largest pass through of travelers was recorded at Sydney Airport around Christmas with nearly equal number of arrivals and departures. There was an increase of 4.6 percent in arrival and departure of the travelers with respect to the previous years. The other Australian airports like Adelaide, Brisbane, and Canberra were also not far behind in terms of influx of travelers.
