Western Australia Skilled Invitation Round Results 21st February 2019

This is to inform that Western Australia conducted its invitation round results on 21st February 2019 inviting applicants under Australia Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190 and Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Visa 489.  The current invitation round was held for State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP).
The invitation round results for different visa categories under SNMP Graduate Stream Invitation are as follows:
Western Australia Skilled Invitation Round Results 21st February 2019

For Australia Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190:
The applicants with a Bachelor Degree and five years of Australian work experience with 10 English points and overall 65 points out of 100 on Australia Point Assessment grid was given an invitation in this current round. The applicants who have submitted their EOI profile before 24/6/2018 were invited.

For Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489:
The applicants who have done their Bachelors and have five years of Australian work experience with IELTS 7bands/PTE 65 points in each module of reading, writing, listening, and speaking with overall 75 points out of 100 on Australia Point Assessment grid were given invitations in this current round. The applicants who have submitted their EOI profile before 8/1/2019 were invited.

Western Australia Official Skill Invitation Results December 2018

The state of Western Australia released latest Expression of Interest (EOIs) draw for the month of December 2018 under SNMP Graduate Stream.
The invitations were invited for Australia Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190 to the applicants having 70 immigration points. The selected candidates who have submitted their EOI profiles before 26/10//2018 with Masters Degree, proficient language score and zero work experience were invited in this latest EOI draw.

Also, Western Australia also invited applicants under Skilled Regional Nominated Visa Subclass Visa 489 to the applicants who have submitted their EOI profile before 16/10/2018 with Masters Degree, proficient language, zero work experience. The selected candidates were invited with 70 points in this draw.

Accountants (221111) were also invited by the Western Australia to come and settle in the province on permanent basis. Though, due to high representation of this occupation in the eligible EOIs, the Accountant occupation is under review on the Graduate Occupation List.
During the selection and ranking process the number of invitations issued to applicants with the nominated occupation 221111 was restricted due to the high representation of this occupation.
The Accountants were invited for Australia State Sponsored Visa Subclass 190 with 80 points, no work experience, high language score and EOIs profile submitted before 08/02/2018.
The EOIs selected were evaluated on the basis of the EOI first creation and not the Date of Effect.
The Western Australia Nomination Program is a route towards Australian Permanent Residence for the skilled and qualified workers willing to come and settle in the state on permanent basis.

Western Australia Invitation Accountant Round Results for November 2018

Western Australia recently released its invitation round results for the month of November 2018 inviting migrants under Graduate Stream for Western Australia Invitation round.
The current round was conducted for Accountants General (221111) occupation for Australia Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190 and Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489.
The invitation round was conducted for the Accountants having no experience but a Master’s degree for Australia skill migration categories.
The Applicants having proficient English language score with PhD or Master’s Degree and zero year of experience were invited to apply by the Western Australia Governmentwith 80 points. A tie break rule was applied where the applicants who have submitted their EOI before 8/07/2017, 12:26 PM were invited to apply for Western Australia nomination program.

Also, migrants were invited for Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489 with 75 point score. The criteria however remain the same for this category as well. A tie-break rule was applied to invite applicants for Subclass 489. This means that applicants who have submitted their profile before 09/07/2018, 8:53 PM were given invitations in this current draw to apply for Western Australia Nomination Program.
Additionally, those migrants with 3 years of experience were also invited in the Accountant category under Australia Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190 with 70 immigration points. A tie-break rule was applied to invite the potential migrants where tie-break date was 15/10/2018 and time was 2:02 PM stating that applicants who have applied before the mentioned date and time were invited to apply in this current invitation round.
All the above categories applicants were invited having proficient language score.
The occupation is still available for future nomination, though immigration level is uncertain and any changes in the status of occupation will be notified by the Western Australia’s Government.

Western Australia Invitation Round Results 16th November, 2018

The Western Australia Invitation Round was conducted on 16th November 2018 under Australia State Sponsored Visa Subclass 190 and Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489 categories. The current invitation round was held for Accountants who had at least 3 years of experience.
Though for other occupations, the applicants with 70 points (without state nomination), a Masters/PHD without any work experience and language requirement 20 score were invited to apply for Western Australia State Nomination.

The Western Australia government will calculate the work criteria points by rounding down the measured years. For example- 10 months work experience will be counted as zero years. Whereas, 15 months will be counted as 1 year work experience. However, the point criteria depend upon work occupation.
The selected candidate who lodged their profile before 25th September, 2018 were invited to apply. The EOI is considered when you first submitted the profile and not when you last updated the Expression of Interest profile.
The preference was given to the work experience and education from Australia and specifically from Western Australia.
The applicants who have applied for both Australia Skilled Nominated Visa 190 and Australia Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489 are given nomination for visa subclass 489 by the WA government.
The state of Western Australia invites highly skilled and qualified workers to come and settle in the state through Western Australia State Nomination Program.

New Opportunity for Graduates in Western Australia 2018

As discussed earlier about Western Australia introducing new skill migration stream for graduates of the Western Australia to live and work in the state on permanent basis. Keeping in mind the skill requirement, the state has introduced the new Graduate Stream for the State Sponsored Visa Subclass 190 and Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489. This is surely a welcome move for international students with skilled migration becoming more and more competitive.
Till now, the process for Western Australia State Nomination Program had to go through the General Stream that includes nominating occupation listed on the WASMOL (Western Australia Skilled Migration Occupation List). There were limited number of occupations mentioned on WASMOL that includes medical practitioners and hence there were lesser immigration to the state.
The candidates who wants to apply for Western Australia Skilled Migration Program, now has the option to apply under Graduate Stream of WA. This program is effective from 25TH September, 2018.
The basic Graduate Stream requirements are:
  • The candidates must be international graduates completing 2 years of course from an educational institute in WA.
  • The candidate should be able to nominate an occupation from the GOL (Graduate Occupation List) for either the Subclass 489 or the Subclass 190 visa.
  • Doctoral degree and Master degree holders can nominate any occupation listed on the GOL and other educational degree holders also have the option to nominate few occupations from GOL.
  • The candidates must be able to demonstrate the language proficiency skills for the occupations listed on occupation group 1 and 2. Meanwhile, competent English is required for the others.
  • A minimum of at least one year of work experience in Australia or at least 3 years of relevant work experience abroad in the recent ten years is required in the nominated occupation or closely related nominated occupation. PhD and Masters Applicants are exempted from this condition.
  • Candidates must have an offer of employment in Australia for at least a period of 12 months

Updated Western Australia Occupational Demand List 2018


The applicants having nominated occupation listed on Western Australia Skilled Migration Occupation List (WASMOL) or Graduate Occupation List (GOL) is eligible to apply for Western Australian State Nomination Program.

The candidates can apply through Australia State Nominated Visa Subclass 190 or Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489

The WASMOL is available to applicants applying through the General Stream whereas GOL is available to the applicants applying through Graduate Stream.

Australia PR visa


The applicants applying for WA Skill Migration Program will have to compete with all potential employees in the Western Australian labour market to get a nomination from the WA government.
To apply for WA state nomination program it is essential that you have at least 65 points out of 100 on Australia point assessment grid. The points are calculated for age, educational qualification, work experience, language ability and other factors.

The occupations mentioned on Western Australia Skilled Migration Occupation List do not relate to any specific job vacancies, nor represent job guarantee but rather lists the occupations that are required currently in the labour market of Western Australia.
