Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program

This program was specifically designed keeping the needs of the labour market of Alberta in mind.

AINP accepts skilled worker applications under Express Entry and the Alberta Opportunity Stream. The Self-Employed Farmer Stream, the International Graduate Entrepreneur Immigration Stream, and the Foreign Graduate Start-Up Visa Stream are three business programs it runs.

The program is managed by the Government of Alberta in co-operation with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, the federal Department of Immigration. Interested candidates must complete a two-step process: first, apply for a nomination with the province government, and then, if nominated, apply for permanent residence with the federal government.

A limited number of nominations are allocated to AINP every year.

AINP Streams

Below mentioned are the five streams which are accepting applications under the Alberta Immigration Nominee Program 

Alberta Opportunity Stream

This stream came into operation for the purpose of simplifying the Alberta Immigration Nominee Program to reduce the waiting time and make the system much beneficial for both the employers an the candidates

Foreign Graduate Start- Up Visa Stream

This stream is designed for foreign graduates who completed their education outside Canada and wish to be permanent residents after launching their start-up enterprises in Alberta.

Express Entry Stream

A limited number of candidates get nominated from federal Express Entry pool through the periodic draws.

International Graduate Entrepreneur Immigration Stream

This stream is designed for the applicants who have completed their graduation from Alberta and are all set to establish their business in the province.

Self – Employed Farmer Stream:

This stream targets the individuals who have the capital resources to invest in the farming business of Alberta as well as have the required knowledge about farming. This stream is collaboration between AINP and the Alberta Agriculture and Forestry.

Occupation in Demand

Province of Alberta unlike the other province does not share or reveal its occupation in demand list, rather it has a list of ineligible occupations.
