10th January Express Entry Draw: Lowest CRS Score Cut-Off Since The Birth Of Express Entry

At 446 CRS score, 2,750 Candidates got selected from the pool, in the latest Express Entry Draw. The first draw of 2018 took place on 10th of January and is 22 points down the first draw of 2017. The last Express Entry draw that took place on 20th December was concluded at same CRS score of 446. The current draw is also has the lowest CRS cut-off for a first draw of the year since the Express Entry system came into effect in January 2015.

The draw was the initial of what is anticipated to be an eventful opening half of 2018 for Canada’s Express Entry system. During the same time in 2017, 16 draws and CRS cut-off drop from 468 in the first draw of the year all the way down to an exceptional 413 in May was observed.
Keeping in view Canada’s Express Entry targets for 2018, it is expected to be a busy year for Canadian immigration.
With IRCC’s greater ITA targets for 2018, it can be predicted that either Express Entry Draws will be more or more selection will be there from the pool. It could also be both.
This suggest that there could be more drop in CRS cut off in the coming draws.

Total of 178 Letter of Advice to Apply Issued by Manitoba in the Last Draw of 2017

On December 29, 178 skilled workers were invited to Apply for Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP).

Under Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream, 133 candidates were invited. The lowest ranking candidate invited is having a total score of 545.

45 more candidates were invited through Skilled Worker Overseas Stream.

The selection criteria followed by the province of Manitoba is submission of Expression Of Interest (EOI). The interested candidates can submit an EOI to Manitoba and the province gives you points based on the answers you provided in your profile.

Those candidates which holds the highest points in EOI pool, will then be issued Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) to apply for Canada PR through MPNP.

Lately, on November 15, Government of Manitoba announced numerous changes in MPNP. Some are in effect and some are expected to be in effect from 2018.

One imperial change among these was introduction of in-demand list of Manitoba. This means that through MPNP, skilled workers will now be admitted, meeting the current labour market needs of the province.
