Australia invites 632 nominations in Canberra Matrix Invitation Round

On the draw held on 23rd January 2023 invitation round conducted by Canberra invited 632 candidates where invitations were shared with candidates under Visa subclass 190 and Visa Subclass 491. Where 227 invites were for 190 and 405 for visa subclass 491.

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) of Canberra employs a special score-based Canberra Matrix points system to identify qualified registrants who are interested in living and working in the ACT.

Concerning ACT

Due to its exciting employment prospects, reasonable housing, top-notch educational system, and multiculturalism (more than 25% of the population is made up of immigrants), Canberra is one of the most alluring places for people looking to immigrate to Australia.

Through the Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 Visa or the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Subclass 491 Visa, Australian states and territories recommend qualified foreign skilled workers who wish to apply for permanent residence to the federal immigration authority, the Department of Home Affairs (DHA). A nomination increases a candidate's point total for Australian immigration by 15 points for a Subclass 491 Visa application and 5 points for a 190 Visa application.

In order to be considered for nomination, candidates must submit an Expression of Interest through SkillSelect and receive at least 65 points based on a variety of selection criteria. Aspirants must complete a Canberra Matrix, which assigns points to each candidate based on their potential to contribute to the economy and engage in local society, in order to demonstrate an interest in the nomination. ACT 190 or ACT 491 nominations are available to registrants.
