Australia Immigration announced Priority Visa Processing for Skilled Independent Visa Subclass (189)

The Migration Program's Skilled Stream is intended to draw immigrants who significantly contribute to the Australian economy and fill open positions for which there are no Australian workers available. Due to their extremely high rates of employment, skilled immigrants contribute to economic growth and the creation of new jobs.

The skilled stream contributes significantly to regional development by offering labor and skills that cannot be found locally, as well as by fostering investment and boosting local business.

Minimum Eligibility Points

The current cut-off point for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) is 65 points, but the more points you have, the stronger your application will be and the more likely you are to be invited to an interview. Several professions have substantially higher point requirements than others, and some are not admitted in every round.

New Zealand receives priority processing.

Temporarily closed to new applications is the New Zealand stream of the Skilled Independent (subclass 189) visa. As a result, no new applications will be accepted from 10 December 2022 to 1 July 2023.

This is a brief suspension of new applications as the government examines potential avenues for New Zealanders to immigrate to and obtain citizenship in Australia, reflecting the close relations between our two countries.

The Department of Home Affairs has created a specific team to give processing of this caseload priority and will attempt to complete the majority of the on-hand New Zealand stream applications during this time.

Due to the small number of spots recently allotted to this group, the majority of New Zealand stream candidates have been waiting several years for the completion of their visa applications.

The following streamlining measures are adopted to recognize that this group of New Zealanders has lived in Australia for a long time, has been employed there, and has helped the country's economy recover during the COVID-19 epidemic. Among them is the elimination of the prerequisites that applicants for the New Zealand stream on hand must meet in relation to the time spent living in Australia;
the required income;

and the individual's health, considering that Medicare is available to New Zealanders who have already migrated to Australia.

The issuance of New Zealand stream visas during the 2022–23 Program Year will enable visa holders to take advantage of the advantages of permanent residence more quickly, particularly the automatic acquisition of Australian citizenship at birth for their children born in Australia and immediate access to the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Anyone manage to get invitation with 60 points for Skilled independent visa 189?

No, no one has got an invitation with 60 points for IT industry in the recent past and neither anyone will ever get an invitation to apply for Australia Skilled Independent Visa subclass 189.
You must be aware that Australian Immigration government has increased its Australia Pass points from 60 to 65 from July 1, 2018 onwards. Thus, nobody will ever get a nomination on 60 points for any skilled migration visa category.
Australia Skilled Independent Visa subclass 189is a point based permanent residency visa that allows skilled workers to live and work anywhere in Australia for indefinite period of time. The applicant does not need any state/territory sponsorship to apply for Australia Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189. Only, occupation must be listed on Medium and Long Term Strategic Skill List 2018 to be able to apply for Australia PR and 65 minimum eligible point score.
The points are calculated for age, educational qualification, work experience, skills, language proficiency and other factors.
Points can be checked using Australia Point Calculator
However, as an applicant to work in IT industry, be it ICT business and system analyst or IT engineers must have 75 and above immigration score to be able to receive an invitation to apply from Australian government, as per the latest invitation round results 2018.
It is good news that occupations related to ICT industry are in demand in Australia labour market and it will continue to be in demand for at least next 5 years. Financial Review reported that Australia needs at least 100,000 new ICT workers to meet the labour requirement in Australia. As there are less than 5000 local graduates from ICT degree each year. Australia needs to depend upon skilled workers to meet their local labour requirement. Last year, there were 22,300 new technology jobs created and Australia is planning to expand these numbers for coming years.
Thus, it is bright chance for you to apply for Australian permanent residency as an IT worker provided you try to improve your immigration point score.
With such a low score my friend, now you are not even eligible to apply for Australian Permanent Residency. Thus, in any way, you need to improve your point score for better immigration chances.
The higher your immigration points, the better your chances to receive an Invitation to apply from the Australian government.
You may improve your point score by taking language proficiency test again or by gaining work experience or trying for state nomination for Australia Subclass 190 or family sponsorship/sate nomination for Australia provisional visa subclass 489.
