By sending invitations to those who applied under each area of the PNP and received the highest scores, British Columbia regularly chooses applicants who will be able to live and work there permanently. Candidates who are successful in receiving the provincial nomination may submit an application to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada for a permanent residency visa.

A system called Skills Immigration
Registration System (SIRS) is used to manage the majority of BC PNP streams. British
Columbia can select candidates for provincial nomination based on scores thanks
to the intake management system known as SIRS. Before applying, potential
candidates must first create a profile and fill it up with information about
their job offer in British Columbia, employment history, language proficiency,
and educational background. The BC government holds periodic draws in which
candidates who meet the cut-off for their category are invited to apply for a provincial nomination.
The SIRS operate on an expression of interest/invitation to apply basis, in
which registered applicants are given a score (out of 200).

British Columbia invited qualified immigrants for permanent residency in the province through all of the drawings mentioned above. By employing this strategy, the immigration offices in British Columbia are able to meet the demands of their regional labour market and close the skills and capacity gap. This enables them to contribute to the province's economic growth.
