On August 30th, British Columbia invited 207 Tech Professionals to apply for a provincial nomination
The invites were distributed through BC PNP Tech, a branch of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).

The program provides a pathway to permanent residence for persons who choose to live and work in British Columbia.
Candidates invited through BC's Tech draws must meet the requirements of one of the Express Entry BC or Skills immigration categories regulated by the Skills and Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

The majority of BC PNP streams are controlled through the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). SIRS is an intake management system that enables British Columbia to choose applicants for Provincial Nomination based on their ratings. Potential applicants must first create a profile and include information about their job offer in British Columbia, work experience, language competence, and level of education. The SIRS operate on an expression of interest/invitation to apply basis, with registered candidates assigned a score (out of 200), and the BC government holding regular interval draws in which aspirants who fulfil the cut-off threshold for their category in that draw are invited to apply for a provincial nominee program.
