British Columbia Conducts Separate Draws For Tech Workers And Targeted NOCS

On April 26, 2022, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) held its weekly round of invites. Two draws were held, one for tech professionals and the other for other targeted NOCs. Skilled Workers, International Graduates, Entry Level, and Skilled Workers were among those invited.

112 BC immigration aspirants were invited to apply for a provincial nomination in the tech draws. While 23 invites were shared for the targeted NOC for Childcare: Early Childhood Educators and Assistants (NOC 4214) under the subcategories International Graduates and Skilled Workers, 8 other invites were shared for Healthcare professionals under the subcategories Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Workers, Skilled Workers, International Graduates, and 5 invites were shared for Other priority occupations (NOCs 3114, 3213) under the subcategories Skilled Workers, International Graduates.

Individuals who received a minimum of 85 points were eligible for invites, and the majority of the invitations were distributed via tech draws. At least 65 points were required for candidates in particular jobs.

Because of the large number of candidates from specific labour market sectors who have registered in the province's Skills Immigration Registration System, several separate lotteries are being held (SIRS).

The British Provincial Candidate Program was established to attract professionals from all across the world.
