Queensland removes skill occupations from its SOL 2019

The Australian Sunshine State ‘Queensland’ has recently announced the temporary removal of four skilled occupations from its skilled occupation list (SOL) due to high number of applications received to Business and Skilled Migration Queensland (BSMQ). The occupations have been removed from SOL as of 1st February 2019.
Thus, no more further invitations will be issued for the occupations mentioned below that have been removed from the Queensland Skill Occupation List:
  1. ICT Business Analyst (261111)
  2. Quantity Supervisor (233213)
  3. Construction Project Manner (133111)
  4. Marketing Specialist (225113)

Queensland Nomination Program

 The Business and Skilled Migration Queensland (BSMQ) notified that no new invitations for the above mentioned occupations will be issued. However, if any of the applicants is invited and do not timely respond then these occupations might be opened in future.
Additionally, Queensland has also removed 2 occupations from its offshore QSOL List. The occupations are:
  1. Interior Designer (232511)
  2. Actuary (224111)
These occupations are no longer available from 1st February 2019. These occupations are however available on the onshore QSOL list. This means that applicants who are already working in Queensland may be still able to apply for these occupations.
Queensland State Nominated Program is for skilled and qualified workers willing to settle and work in the sunshine city of Australia.
