The Department of Home Affairs has finally published the Australia invitation round results for the month of December, 2018. The current invitation round conducted by DIBP invited 2500 applicants for Australia Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189, and Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Subclass 489.
Out of 2500 ITAs, 2490 ITAs were given under Australia Skilled Independent Visa Subclass with 70 points and 10 ITAs were given under Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Subclass 489 with 80 points.
The current invitation round result applied break-even date and time for Skilled Independent Visa 189 where applicant whose profiles were submitted before 22nd Nov, 2018 at 06:33 pm having 70 points and more were invited to apply by Australian government. Meanwhile, applicants applying for Skilled Regional Nominated Visa 489with 80 points were invited to apply who have their EOI profiles submitted before 19thAugust, 2018 at 12:11 pm.
The total invitations tally till December for Australia Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189 has reached 17,150 and total invitation till December for Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489 has reached 60.

The applicants with the highest ranking score were invited to apply for Australian Permanent Residence.
The below mentioned occupations have been subject to pro rata arrangement because of high levels of demand.
- Accountants (2211) and Auditors, Company Secretaries and Corporate Treasures (2212) got ITA at 80 points each
- Electronic Engineers (2334) at 75 points
- Industrial, Mechanical and Production engineers (2335) at 70 points
