Well, there are different eligibility requirements for different Australia PR visas. For example- to apply for skilled migration visas, you must have a valid work experience whereas for Family sponsorship, you require an Australian citizen, eligible New Zealand citizen or Permanent residence holder who is your relative to sponsor you.
Assuming that you are a skilled worker willing to live and work in Australia as a permanent residence, it is suggested that you must meet the following requirements to be able to apply for Australia Permanent Residency:
· Your occupation must be listed on Australia occupational demand list. This is the first and foremost requirement for you to be able to apply for Australia PR.

· You must take skill assessment test. A positive skill assessment report is required to be able to move further
· You must score 65 points out of 100 on Australia Point Assessment grid. The points are calculated for age, educational qualification, work experience, relevant skills, language proficiency and other factors.
· You must meet health and character requirements
· You must fall below 45 years of age
· You must have repaid any outstanding debts to the Australian government
Therefore, if you are able to achieve the above mentioned requirements, you will be eligible to apply for Australia Permanent Residency visa.
The General Skilled Migration Programs has three visa categories namely:
Australia skilled Independent Visa subclass 189 is a point based permanent residence visa that allows skilled and qualified workers to live and work anywhere in Australia provided the applicants have an occupation listed on Medium and Long- Term Strategic Skill List.
Australia State Sponsored Visa subclass 190 is also a point based skilled migration visa that allows skilled and qualified worker to live and work in Australia provided the applicant has a state/territory nomination.
Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489 is a point test provisional visa that allows skilled and qualified workers to live and work in a particular area of Australia. You need state/territory nomination or relative sponsorship to apply for subclass 489.
