Many changes will be seen in 2018 related to the Australia Immigration, like 457 Visas will be replaced by Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (TSS). TSS will consist of 2 streams- short term stream which will allow the candidate to stay for 2 years and will be renewable only once whereas, Medium term stream will allow the candidate to stay for 4 years. STSOL List of occupations will be considered for the STS applicants. Additionally, the list of occupations for provisional and STS visas will also be changed.

Certain occupations like Building Associate, Recruitment Consultant, Beauty Salon Manager, and Accommodation and Hospitality manager will be out from the current list, thus making the way for new occupations namely Real Estate Representative, Real Estate Agent, Property Manager, and University Tutor which will be added to the new STSOL list. Not only these occupations but many other will also be removed and added.

Additionally, Government of Australia is simultaneously working on to plan to launch Mandatory Provisional Visa for Australia PR applicants which means that an applicant has to stay for a minimum required time in the country to obtain PR.

The changes are not only done in TSS but also to the Provisional Sponsored Parent Visa, where it is expected to increase the stay limit for the parents to reside in Australia. The approval regarding same is pending in the senate.

Not only the approval but also the changes in Partner visa are pending in the Senate. Once the bill is enacted, it will set the framework for sponsoring partner visas, focusing more on sponsor’s assessment.

Therefore, these changes will be kernel for the immigration process of Australia
