Every three months, Immigration New Zealand (INZ) holds a draw of Parent Category expressions of interest (EOIs). INZ selects enough people to fill the number of residence places available under the New Zealand Residence Programme.
The remaining selections of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) under the Parent Category from July 2015 to 30 June 2016 are scheduled to take place in August and November 2015, and February and May 2016.
The number of places available in each selection draw depends on the number of places available under the New Zealand Residence Programme.
From July 2014 to 30 June 2016 there were 8,180 places available for approvals under Parent Category for applications lodged after 16 May 2012, and there were 2,820 places available for approvals under the Parent Sibling and Adult Child category applications lodged on or before 16 May 2012.
