On August 16, the BC PNP held a draw for general, technical, and targeted NOC.

General draw, including tech jobs: 177 British Columbia sent out new invitations to potential nominees on August 16, 2022. In one of its most recent drawings, BC requested 177 applicants in a general draw that also included IT professionals for a provincial nomination.

On August 16, those who met the requirements for the British Columbia Nominee Program's five Express Entry and Skills Immigration streams were invited to the draw.

  1. SI – Skilled Worker
  2. SI – International Graduate

Concerning the BC PNP

The BC PNP's objective is to recruit highly sought-after foreign workers who desire to immigrate to Canada as permanent residents.

The two main sub-streams of the BC PNP's immigration program are Express Entry and Skills Immigration. These streams are governed by the BC Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). To apply via the SIRS, you must first create an account. Following that, you will receive a score based on your education, work experience, and language ability.

The best candidates from each subcategory are then urged to apply for a provincial nomination to seek permanent status when British Columbia has one of its routine draws.

If you were invited, you have 30 days from the invitation date to submit a complete application using the BC PNP online system.

After completing a thorough BC PNP application file, you will typically hear from the province within two to three months. If your nomination is approved, you can submit an application to Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent resident status under the Provincial Nominee Class.

The nomination is valid for around six months after confirmation.

If you are a provincial applicant and have a score high enough to be invited to apply (ITA) in a future federal Express Entry draw, you may be qualified for an extra 600 points under the CRS.

The nominee streams in British Columbia provide a route for employees and graduates who want to settle in the province to get permanent residence in Canada. The majority of BCPNP Skills Immigration programs demand that applicants have a legitimate employment offer from a BC employer.

British Columbia once more staged a separate draw with a minimum score requirement of 60 points for applicants with experience in specific NOC codes. In order to balance the needs of the province's various industries on the labour market, BC developed these draws. Draw requirements may alter as the labour market changes.

About the BC PNP

The goal of the BC PNP is to draw in foreign employees who are in high demand in the province and who want to immigrate to Canada as permanent citizens.

Express Entry and Skills Immigration are the two primary sub-streams of the BC PNP's immigration program. The BC Skills Immigration Registration System oversees these streams (SIRS). You must first register an account in order to apply via the SIRS. After that, a score will be given to you based on your education, employment history, and language proficiency.

When British Columbia has one of its regular draws, the top-scoring applicants from each subcategory are then encouraged to apply for a provincial nomination to apply for permanent residency.

You have 30 days from the date of the invitation to submit a complete application using the BC PNP online system if you were invited.

Also, read the last draw: British Columbia conducts a tech and target draw on the 19th of July

You will get notification of the province's decision after submitting a comprehensive BC PNP application packet, usually within two to three months. You can apply to Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence status under the Provincial Nominee Class if your nomination is accepted.

Following confirmation, the nomination is effective for around six months.

You may be eligible for an additional 600 points under the CRS if you are a provincial candidate and have a score high enough to be invited to apply (ITA) in a subsequent federal Express Entry draw.

The PNP in British Columbia

The BC PNP aims to recruit foreign workers in high demand in the province who wish to make Canada their permanent home.

The BC PNP's two primary immigration streams are Skills Immigration and Express Entry, both of which are divided into sub-categories. These streams are managed by British Columbia's Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). You must first create an account with the SIRS before you can apply. Following that, you'll be given a score based on factors such as your education, work experience, and language abilities.

The top-scoring applicants from each sub-category are invited to apply for a provincial nomination to apply for Canadian permanent residency when British Columbia has one of its regular draws.

You will have 30 days from the date of the invitation to complete and submit a full application using the BC PNP online system.

You will be notified of the province's decision within two to three months of completing a full BC PNP application paperwork. If your nomination is accepted, you will be able to apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for permanent residence under the Provincial Nominee Class (IRCC).

The nomination is valid for around six months from the date of confirmation.

You can earn an additional 600 points as a provincial nominee under the CRS, allowing you to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) at a subsequent federal Express Entry draw.
