New opportunity for overseas framers to migrate Australia

The Scott Morrison Government is planning to introduce new Agriculture Visa in Australia. The demand for specialized visa for Agricultural purposes has been growing in Australia to meet the labour requirement.
The existing program called Seasonal Work Incentives Trial that is 2 year program has up till now invited only 333 people. The immigration year will end in six months and still 7,600 places are left to be filled. In these two years, the intake has only been around 4 or 5 percent.
Ben Rogers, National Farmers Federation Member has reckoned the program a failure stating the reason of local workers not willing to take harvest jobs.
Despite of benefits like cash incentives of $5,000 to people employed in harvest jobs, there is still requirement of many migrants to settle for harvest jobs.
The Agricultural visa allows visa holders to work in regional areas for more than 6 months. However, they can get an extra year if they took up farm jobs. The seasonal workers visa allowed Pacific workers to work in Australian farms for 3 months.

However, none of the above mentioned visa changes were able to address the challenges of the harvest seasons. This has resulted in the rise of demand for a new Agriculture Visa in Australia. Also, The National Farmers Federation also agreed that a long-term solution was needed to curb the Agriculture labour shortage, as per ABC News.
The Australian Government has asked farmers to register their needs with the National Harvest Labour Information Service to help the government identify the shortage areas. The government will then tailor a new agriculture visa around these shortage areas.
Thus, Australia offers a many PR programs in every category for the migrants willing to settle in the country on permanent basis. The applicants may select the best popular visa programs for your ultimate settlement. Apart from Agriculture Visa, you have permanent residency solutions under General Skill Migration Program, Family Sponsorship Programs and Business Investor Programs.

Australia Immigration Department to Bring New Farmer Visa

Australian Federal Minister of Agriculture, David Littleproud has announced to introduce special farm workers Visa for the Agricultural season. He says that picking farmers for the visa is his top priority. The Agriculture minister is having meetings with the newly appointed Minister of Immigration, David Coleman to discuss about the possibility of the new farmer visa.
Australia Farmer Visa Requirement

The farm worker visa will only focus on hiring workers to help in the busy agriculture period that lasts from May to August every year.
The Agriculture Minister has been an avid supporter of the new Visa and has said that agriculture industry is facing huge labour shortage in the country and he believes that agriculture visa could help address the farmer shortage problem, as per The Australian.
Littleproud also believes that Australia needs a specific farm visa so that overseas farmers willing to work in Australian farms do not plod through various categories of visa. The visa proposal is to introduce the multiple entry visa of short duration to meet the farmer labour requirements without the need of any Labour Market Testing. The applications for this visa do not require any kind of sponsorship and applicants would be able to switch employers within the agriculture sector.

What is the difference between visa 189, visa 190 and visa 489. Can i apply for NSW nomination program with 65 points?

What is the difference between the benefits of 489, 189 and 190 visa?
Australia Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189 is a point based permanent resident visa that allows skilled and qualified workers to live and work anywhere in Australia for indefinite period of time. The applicant must have their job occupation listed on Medium and Long Term Strategic Skill List 2018. There is no need for a state or territory nomination from the Australian government to apply for subclass visa 189.
Australia Skilled Nominated Visa subclass 190 as name suggests is a permanent resident visa that allows skilled and qualified workers to live and work in Australia provided the applicant gets a nomination or sponsorship from the Australian state/territory. An applicant has to live in a particular nominated state for at least 2 years and work for at least 1 year.
One of the best benefits of subclass 190 is that you can claim 5 additional points with the state/territory nomination to be added towards your overall immigration pass point score.
Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489 is a point based provisional visa that is valid for 4 years. This visa allows skilled and qualified workers to live and work in a specific area of Australia for at least 2 years and work for at least one year. To be able to apply for subclass 489 visa, an applicant requires state/territory nomination or a sponsorship from the eligible relative residing in a regional area of Australia.
The applicants with visa 489 are entitled to receive 10 additional points towards their overall point score.
I hold 65 points and have not received any nomination from NSW or SkillSelect. I’m thinking about 489 to make 75 points, however, people are saying it is not even worth it.
As far as your second question is concerned, with 65 points you are eligible to apply for Australian Permanent Residency. The points are calculated for age, educational qualification, work experience, relevant skills, language ability and other factors.
65 points are eligible points and it does not give you any surety of receiving ITA from NSW. There is highly unlikely chance of receiving ITA with a low score. Thus, it is suggested that you focus on improving your Australia pass points.
Yes, 489 subclass visa nominations is a good idea to get 10 points. Side by side, you may also try to improve your language scores as well.
However, as per the latest invitation round results, for subclass visa 489, an applicant is getting an invitation with 80 points and more. Thus, getting 75 points for visa 489 will be of less help. You may try to apply for visa 189 with 75 points by improving your point score.
Stay hopeful and try improving your immigration point score. Who knows, you may get lucky with NSW visa 489.
