What is the next step after filing an EOI for Australia Permanent Residency?

Australia Permanent Residency is a point based step by step process that invites skilled and qualified workers to come and settle in the country on permanent basis.
The most famous visa category for permanent residency is General Skilled Migration Program that includes Australia Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189, Australia State Sponsored Visa Subclass 190 and Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Subclass 489.
As you have already completed the initial stages of Australia PR process that is checking the nominated occupation on relevant Australia’s Occupational Demand List and meeting the basic pass percentage of Australian immigration that is scoring 65 points out of 100 on Australia point assessment grid. The points are calculated for age, educational qualification, work experience, language ability and other factors.
You must have got positive skill assessment report from your relevant assessing authority and that is why you have proceeded to the next immigration step. The skill assessment is done for educational qualification and relevant work experience.
Expression of Interest is file online through a system called SkillSelect that asks series of questions on the basis of work history, educational qualification, experience etc. it is your way of telling the Australian government your interest of coming and working as permanent resident in Australia to contribute towards their growing economy.
The potential applicants after filing Expression of Interest (EOI) waits for the invitation round results if applying through Australia Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189. For state sponsorship visa programs, the state/territory will review the profile and on the basis of your interest to apply for particular state you will receive state/territory nomination.
As per the latest invitation round results, the Department of Immigration and Border Protection is inviting skilled and qualified workers with immigration point score of 70 and above.
The higher are your immigration points, the better are your chances of receiving ITA.
If your scores are less, it is suggested that you try improving point score.
